Monkeys (サル, Saru) are the signature summon of Asura Hyuga. They reside in Jigokudani (Hell’s Valley), which is located in the Northern Frontier within the ruined lands. Since the Northern War the only entrance for humans has been destroyed now it is only accessible via reverse summoning.
The monkeys are one of the most versatile summons, with the ability to use ninjutsu, and transform into a weapon. They are also very adaptable in aerobics and taijutsu. Each monkey is only able to transform into one type of weapon, as it is shown that Emma can transform only into an Adamantine Staff. As they are the closest genetically to humans they their sizes can be anywhere from the size of a small child to a grown adult. The tallest size monkey which is said to be the Son Goku, is just under 3 stories feet tall. They have the ability to speak human language.
There is a legend that suggests that the monkeys were once an exclusive summon only to the Sarutobi Clan. It goes that in the time before villages that the Great Monkey Sage found a man wondering in the mist of battle looking for death. The Sage took the man under is tail and taught him the way of the Monkey. This man of legend was an ancestor of the Sarutobi Clan, from that day the Great Monkey Sage undertook an oath to pledge their allegiance only to this man and his family if they stayed loyal to them.
The legend continuous to say that once the villages were formed one member from the clan forgot about their ancient oath, he made a deal to trade their contract if they could learn another clan’s secrets. With the allegiance shattered a fraction of the Monkeys demanded for new contractors the other Monkeys said “So were the times, and we must not betray old pacts.” The group that were rebelling decided to reach out to the other clan before they shared their secrets.
With this division the Monkey summon divided into two altered groups one the Loyalist that stayed with the Sarutobi Clan and the New Age that pledged their allegiance with this new clan the Kawahiru. This caused a war among themselves, it was resolved by the Great Monkey Sage dividing the lands into two and himself governing each group separately. With this separation the summoning of Monkeys have duplicates titles per their loyalties. This division only got bigger once the Kawahiru Clan change their villages.
As it is with much of the other summon species the Sage is the actually leader of this species. The Sage in this case is known as the Great Monkey Sage and comes from a rare breed of monkey known as a Grey-Shanked Douc. It is extremely rare for someone to learn senjutsu because each side will accuse the Great Monkey Sage of playing favorites with the other side of the monkeys. Asura encountered these creatures during his travels. Gaining the trust of one of the Four Sacred Monkey Kings that run under the Great Monkey Sage Asura earned a contract with them a rare encounter indeed.

Yosai-mon:
The Yosai-mon are giant paifang-like gates, with the tops decorated in such an ornamental fashion, while the doors are large and just a steely gray, contrasting with the red, green, yellow, and blue colors on the rim of the gate. The door has two large chains stretching across it, presumably to keep it closed. On the door there are engravings of the kanji: Serve, Protect, and Seal. Each speaking of the gate's main objective, when summoned the door can either be laying flat on the ground, though summoned with the regular summoning seal, the door also gets a much different seal in other occasions, looking as if it is a rather large drawing of the door, with a summoning seal in the center. As previously mentioned, the large decorative torri gates are able to use rather odd techniques in conjunction, the first being like Rashomon, able to protect the user against various attacks, and remain unharmed unless the technique is typically of great strength, in if a technique threatens to break through the door, Asura can always summon five more; whether there are more is yet to be seen though. Yosai-mon is also capable of using a Fuuinjutsu, known as: Keimusho, that is activated once the users falls in or, is somehow put into the door, causing it to close, causing the seal kanji to light up. The room of the seal is nothing but all black, and is also endless, one door can only seal one object or person at a time though. The six gates can also form together to make a giant prison for others. The last ability of the Yosai-mon is, if the seal for the door is placed in any said area, the door can take the user to that place, but only once before having to recreate the seal; which according to Asura, is by all means lengthy. Asura has also stated there to be a technique he uses to imprison large, and/or extremely dangerous foes in, if Keimusho is out of the question; though not an ability of Yosai-mon, it serves as one of the two parts in creating the technique. It also seems these large gates are based off of a dam, being shown to resemble the said barricade through the command of "Reinforce" where the walls thicken and even grow in size, becoming less decorative, sacrificing any sealing abilities to defend the user. These walls are said to be able to block a bijuu-dama if reinforced.
Triple Yosai-mon:
Is an upgrade to the standard Summoning: Yosai-mon, which — as its name suggests — summons not one, but three menacing Yosai-mon The technique requires two summoning seals to be completed, and these gates serve the same function as the single Yosai-mon but with triple the defence. The first gate takes the attack head-on, the second reduces the attack's power and the third disperses the pressure, causing all attacks that come in contact with it to lose its power before it can be effective.
Quintuple Yosai-mon:
With one already boasting enormous defensive properties, with this technique the user summons five Yosai-mon gates to block an incoming attack. The defence is quite formidable, and with five gates, the user is also able to change the trajectory of an incoming attack.
